Haley Rutherford, Marriage Celebrant

Let's kick your day off right and get everyone romantically charged, laughing and shedding the odd tear or two. I customise each and every wedding to be personal and in line with what you've envisioned (because let's be honest, we all visualise our day over and over in the planning stages!) Also, I leave room for bit of spontaneity, which helps the ceremony feel less polished but more relaxed and real. Heres an idea of where we would go from here:

Initial consultations

A wedding ceremony is actually a pretty personal event so it's important to see if I'm the right celebrant for you. so let's have an initial chat, talk weddings, ideas and thoughts, and see if we click. It's of course obligation free and I'm available for face to face, skype/facetime calls or even just a quick chat on the phone. Either way, it's a good chance to connect and get the ball rolling.

Second meeting

If you decide I'm you go-to-girl for your ceremony, I like to have a second meeting, so we can begin nutting out your ceremony, talk Love Stories, discuss music requirements, any other inclusions and also begin the legal paperwork. Ideally, this is done face to face, as I need to sight identification, and helps to get to know you both better.

The ceremony basics and homework

I will register your marriage from my side and lodge all original paperwork with births, deaths and marriages. I will notify you once everything is complete (usually 4-6 weeks afterwards). You can then go ahead and order your Standard Marriage Certificate from the BDM if you intend on changing your name. Happy to help here.

Draft ceremony

I will send you a draft of your ceremony

Rehearsals

Depending on the type of wedding you're having, location, complexity of the ceremony, or just because you really want peace of mind by running through it, rehearsals may or may not be necessary. There are advantages and disadvantages to both options, so let's chat about this once we have a better idea of what's in store for you on your special day.

On the day

I'll be there at your venue nice and early. I have my own PA system to set-up and once that's done you can usually find me chatting to venue staff, guests or trying to keep the groom calm and breathing - after all, he is about to witness the most beautiful woman walking towards him any minute!

After the ceremony

I will register your marriage from my side and lodge all original paperwork with births, deaths and marriages. I will notify you once everything is complete (usually 4-6 weeks afterwards). You can then go ahead and order your Standard Marriage Certificate from the BDM if you intend on changing your name. Happy to help here.

Follow up

I will, of course, send you a follow up once you're home from your honeymoon, so we can reminisce, laugh, and share stories from the day. Any feedback or a testimonial is always so appreciated.
Sounding pretty good? Please shout out, and let's create some beautiful ceremony memories.
